A TikTok video featuring an Indonesian man reflecting on Malaysia’s progress has gone viral, earning praise for his honest views and message of hope for his own country.

In the video posted by TikTok/@citrajayasatria, the man was seen walking around the Putrajaya administrative complex while sharing his thoughts on Malaysia’s clean and organised infrastructure.

Malaysia maintain order and stability

He praised the calm atmosphere and well-planned development, saying it made him wonder how Malaysia managed to maintain such order and stability.

I’m not here to put Indonesia down, and I apologise to Malaysians. I know crime happens here too—but it’s under control, unlike back home,” he said.

The man explained that many Indonesians live in fear due to high crime rates, especially at night.

He mentioned frequent cases of theft, drug addiction, and street gangs as common issues in parts of the country.

Vehicles can get stolen even at paid parking

One moment that stood out in the video was his comparison of parking conditions between the two countries.

He pointed out that in Malaysia, even when motorcycle parking is free, people still park their bikes neatly—and leave their helmets on them without worry.

In Indonesia, even if you pay for parking, your vehicle can still get stolen,” he added.

Peace came from public responsibility

He said Malaysia’s peace didn’t happen overnight, but came from a sense of public responsibility and a well-run system that values safety.

Towards the end of the video, he encouraged fellow Indonesians to look around and ask themselves:

Doesn’t it make you sad to see our neighbour doing better? Don’t you want our country to succeed too?”

He ended with a heartfelt prayer, hoping Indonesia will one day return to the peaceful and dignified state it once knew.

Netizens’ reaction

Many netizens poured in with comments, discussing the development of a country and also praising him for his sharing.

“Brother, you deserve to continue working in Malaysia. This is the kind of mindset Indonesians need Hopefully, there will be good changes for Indonesia.”
