"It's him, 100%," officers can be heard saying in newly released bodycam footage of Luigi Mangione's arrest at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
The recordings, made on 9 December 2024 at the end of a five-day manhunt, were unsealed on Friday (2 October) by prosecutors after CNN petitioned for their release.
Mangione was arrested days after UnitedHealthcare chief executive Brian Thompson, 50, was shot dead as he walked to a midtown Manhattan hotel for his company's annual investor conference.
Mangione pleaded guilty in August to federal stalking charges. He is due to be sentenced in December.
