One off-field moment ahead of England’s group stage matchup vs. Ghana had soccer fans talking.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has already produced a wide array of highlights, and the tournament is yet to enter its knockout stages.

While thousands of fans from all around the globe have made the games memorable, this World Cup is also facing massive scrutiny. Among the biggest reasons is the sky-high parking prices at stadiums.

England vs. Ghana had fans paying atrocious parking price

Speaking of unacceptable parking prices, one such debate sparked before England faced Ghana at the Gillette Stadium in a Group L match.

The debate began after soccer journalist Henry Winter shared a glimpse of the parking prices at the stadium.

The image showed two parking slots available at the stadium: General and VIP. And the costs? Well, $150 for general and $200 for VIP parking.

While England are one of the biggest draws of the FIFA World Cup, a $150 price tag for car parking needs some serious justification from FIFA boss Gianni Infantino.

World Cup fans call out $200 parking price at Gillette Stadium

As expected, World Cup fans were far from happy after finding out the insane car parking prices at the Boston Stadium.

In fact, many expressed their anger on X, with one fan stating, “It’s not right. But it is unfortunately the world we have created and live in.”

Another added, “$200 for parking? That’s almost the price of another match ticket!” A third fan chimed in, “America, you’re taking greed to a whole new level!”

“Haha and Americans think they have the greatest country on the planet!” a fan took a shot at the U.S., while a fifth fan noted, “They don’t even try to hide the fact that they are trying to rip you off.”

Despite the complaints, many fans paid this price, and for what? To see England and Ghana engage in a frustrating 0-0 draw.
