SIPITANG: Finding the right partner in the coming State election is secondary to Parti Warisan, said its President Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal.
He said Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH), Warisan’s former alliance, has the right to choose their political direction in the coming State election.
“It is Sabah Pakatan’s right to decide to choose their partners. Whatever they decide, hopefully they will not obstruct our efforts to advocate the rights of Sabahans.
“Ultimately, Sabahans will decide on any partnership formed,” he said.

Sabah Pakatan acknowledged the speculation about new coalitions but stated that they had yet to discuss potential political alliances for the State elections which must be held by Sept, next year.
PH, comprising United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko), Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Amanah Negara, also reaffirmed their support for Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor’s leadership.
The Warisan-PH State Government was ousted in the September 2020 State election by the GRS coalition and Barisan Nasional.
