It’s surf’s up for Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection

Louis Vuitton has unveiled its Men’s Spring-Summer 2027 Collection in Paris, designed by Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams. The collection draws heavily from global surf culture, using the ocean and coastlines as central themes to explore ideas of travel, functionality, and community.

The new Louis Vuitton SS27 lineup merges traditional surfwear with the brand’s signature “dandy” silhouette, blending casual coastal styles with sophisticated tailoring. Notable design elements include technical wetsuits paired with performance-driven suiting fabrics. Many pieces feature weathered, timeworn textures and mended details, giving them a lived-in look. Williams also incorporated trompe l’oeil (optical illusion) effects that alter how the fabrics feel to the touch.

The collection uses hand-crafted surface decorations, vibrant acid colors, and chequerboard motifs. Aside from surf culture, the graphics pay tribute to skateboarding, which remains a core influence on Williams’ design approach.

The runway show featured a highly immersive setup, including the sound of crashing waves and a silver, futuristic glass camper parked near artificial dunes. The event opened with a short cinematic prelude starring professional surfers Mikey February and Julian Wilson. It was accompanied by an original, epic soundtrack recorded directly at Williams’ Louis Vuitton studio in Paris.

In tandem with the collection’s ocean theme, the House announced an environmental partnership with the conservation group Coral Gardeners. As part of its “Regeneration 2030” sustainability roadmap, the luxury house will support reef restoration efforts in French Polynesia. The initiative aims to plant 1,000 corals at the Tiaia restoration site and restore 250 square meters of reef habitat.
