• The 62-year-old star of The Motorbike Show announced the diagnosis in an Instagram video posted on Wednesday 2 September.
• Cole explained that the cancer was caught early and is easy to operate on.
• He has been told he is expected to make a full recovery and hopes to return around February.
• The television host is postponing his live theatre dates until after Christmas to undergo treatment.
