KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu FC (TFC) hitman Ivan Mamut has agreed to extend his stay with the Turtles for one more season in the Malaysia League (M-League).
This was confirmed by Terengganu Football Club Sdn Bhd (TFCSB) chief executive officer Mohd Sabri Abas in a statement posted on the TFC Facebook page today, thus putting an end to speculation linking the 26-year-old Croatian to Selangor FC.
The 1.92-metre (m) tall Mamut began his Terengganu career after being roped in by head coach Tomislav Steinbruckner this year.
Although he struggled for form initially, Mamut ended the year on a high, having netted 24 goals in all tournaments, including the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup.
Steinbruckner has also extended his contract with the Turtles for another season. - Bernama
