Jack Draper confirms his 2026 season is over amid battle with ‘complicated injury’

  • British tennis player Jack Draper has announced he will miss the remainder of the 2026 season as he continues to recover from a persistent arm injury.
  • The 24-year-old has suffered from severe bone bruising that has derailed his career over the last 12 months, resulting in him missing every grand slam tournament this year.
  • Draper confirmed on social media that he is taking time to reset both physically and mentally, aiming to make a full return to the tour at the start of 2027 following a “complicated injury”.
  • A series of complicated health setbacks, including a knee problem ahead of the French Open and recurring arm pain at Eastbourne, has seen Draper's world ranking plummet from the top five down to 143.
  • Reflecting on his growth through adversity, Draper stated that tennis remains his purpose and passion, emphasising that he wants to be 100 per cent ready with nothing holding him back when he returns.
