KOTA KINABALU: Jade Residence Condominium owners today submitted a petition to Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Joachim Gunsalam, raising serious complaints against the developer and its managing agent, Smiths Gore Sabah.
The petition cites non-disclosure of accounts since 2023, unresolved power disruptions, illegal renovations, poor maintenance, unpaid management fees by the developer, delays in quit rent and strata title issuance, and failure to respond to official letters.
Sabah Real Estate Professionals Association president Nicholas Lim, also a unit owner, urged immediate ministerial intervention, saying the prolonged neglect was unacceptable and jeopardised residents’ rights.
