Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah State Water Department (Jans) and the management of Kingfisher Condominium, Putatan have reached an agreement to address the area's water supply issues following a meeting on Tuesday.
Putatan MP Datuk Shahelmey Yahya said Jans agreed to supply between 180 and 200 cubic metres of water daily to the condominium and would deploy water tankers if additional supply is required, benefiting about 500 residents.
He said Jans also informed the meeting that water supply in southern Putatan is expected to improve once the new 10MLD Kasigui water treatment plant and the 15MLD Kogopon Dua plant are completed, while urging the contractor to expedite delayed works.
