Jarkhar Academy and Amargarh Hockey advanced to the quarterfinals with impressive victories in the senior category, while in the junior section, Kila Raipur Hockey Centre and Jarkhar Hockey Academy registered convincing wins in the 16th JST Olympian Prithipal Singh hockey Festival being organised by the Mata Sahib Kaur Sports Charitable Trust, Jarkhar.
In the senior group, Jarkhar Hockey Academy defeated Ludhiana Sports Club 6-3 in their final league match. With this victory, Jarkhar Academy secured 10 points to finish second in their group.
In another senior league encounter, Amargarh Hockey Centre outplayed Sant Baba Gulab Singh Club, Gholia Khurd (Moga), 5-3 to seal their place in the next round.
In the junior category, Kila Raipur Hockey Centre stormed into the semifinals after thrashing Nankana Sahib Chhanna Amargarh Hockey Centre 6-0. Jarkhar Hockey Academy also continued their winning run by defeating Ghawaddi hockey Centre 4-1 to book a berth in the quarterfinals.
