- Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs has marked 28 years of sobriety with a message to fans.
- The 63-year-old, who played Lucius Malfoy in the film franchise, posted an Instagram reel saying that he is “living a life with hope” and is “so grateful”.
- “I'm not saying that to celebrate myself at all. I'm saying that in case this ever reaches somebody who thinks they're trapped, who thinks that there is no way to change their life,” he added.
- Isaacs concluded the video by telling viewers: “You can live a life without drugs and drink and engage with life's terms which can be magnificent so, good luck and I give you all my love.”
- Isaacs’ on-screen son and long-time friend, Tom Felton, has also been sober for a number of years, and shared his recovery journey in his 2022 memoir Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard.
