Kota Kinabalu: The Junior Chamber of Commerce (JCI) Sandakan is set to showcase Sandakan’s tourism, business and investment potential as it hosts the 3rd Board of Directors conference at Sabah Hotel from Aug 29 to Sept 1.
This event coincides with the 25th anniversary celebration of the Association of JCI Senators in South East Asian Nations (JCI Assean).
“We anticipate a gathering of 150 delegates, including both Malaysian and international representatives from Asean countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan,” said Organising Chairperson cum JCI Sandakan Past President Christina Lo.
She said that many delegates, primarily from the corporate sector, will be visiting Sandakan or Sabah for the first time.

The two-day meeting will feature participation from organisations including the Sandakan Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia in Kota Kinabalu, and Sabah Cross Border Trade Association.
These entities will share insights on investment opportunities, facilitate business networking, and promote Sabah’s local products and tourism industry.
Lo expressed gratitude to Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick, Sabah Convention Bureau, and Tourism Malaysia for their support of the event.
