Flights are now on sale to discover Europe’s top Christmas markets with Jet2.
More than 800,000 seats to 15 cities have been released for holidaymakers to take a festive city break next winter.
The airline will operate 82 routes from 13 UK airports, including 48 dedicated to delivering travellers to Europe’s Christmas markets, during the 2027 season.
These festive destinations will include Vienna, Prague, Cologne and Budapest, Strasbourg, Tallinn, Gdansk, Barcelona, Berlin and Copenhagen, which boast historic squares and joyful Christmas markets.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said: “Holidays to visit Christmas markets are always a firm favourite with our customers. We have responded by putting more than 800,000 seats on sale across 82 routes for Winter 27/28, giving customers plenty of choice and flexibility when travelling from 13 of our UK airport bases.
“By putting the programme on sale now, customers can get their festive plans in the diary early and look forward to a fantastic getaway next winter.”
Travellers face hundreds of grounded flights this winter as easyJet cabin crew based in Portugal walk out over poor working conditions.
Members of the SNPVAC union have voted to stage two separate strikes from 2 to 6 October and again between 19 and 23 December.
A spokesperson for the leading Portuguese crew union said working conditions “continued to deteriorate despite warnings from the union that the airline had failed to address”.
The second stoppage could have an even greater impact on the low-cost carrier's operations, as it coincides with the busy Christmas travel season, when airlines operate fuller flight schedules.
EasyJet said in a statement it was “extremely disappointed” by the strike plans, which come despite ongoing talks mediated by the country's labour authority, DGERT.
