Jetour Auto Malaysia has confirmed that the rugged Jetour T2 will be launched in Malaysia very soon. The announcement came through the brand’s official social media channels, following its debut in left-hand-drive form at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025) back in May this year.

The confirmation ends months of speculation about the Jetour T2 model’s local arrival and reinforces the marque’s commitment in expanding its Malaysian line-up beyond the VT9 and Dashing.

According to an internal source, the T2 is slated for a soft launch in Setia Alam in the first week of Nov, ahead of its official market debut planned for Q1 2026.

Based on details shared by dealers online, two variants will be offered - T2 2.0T and T2 1.5-litre PHEV. Aptly, the 2.0T packs a 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic box plus 4WD rated at 251 hp and 390 Nm.

The 1.5-litre variant instead features Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM setup. This combines a 1.5L turbo petrol heart (156 hp, 220 Nm) with an e-motor and 26.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It delivers up to 129 Km of electric range (WLTC), a total combined petrol-electric range exceeding 1,300 KM, and an ultra-low fuel economy of just 1.08 L/100 km.

Built on Jetour’s Kunlun unibody platform, the T2 measures 4,785 mm long with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, 2,006 mm wide, and 1,870 mm tall, thus putting it in the same class as the GWM Tank 300. Despite its unibody construction, Jetour promises a capable off-roader that’s smooth and refined on the pavement.

As for styling, the T2 dons a boxy, muscular stance with wide fenders, bold front bumper, chunky underbody cladding, 20-inch wheels, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Side steps and other rugged details complete the adventure-ready stance.

Inside, the T2 blends toughness with premium touches. The cabin features powered leather seats, a large central infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, dual wireless chargers, and a tall centre console with a rotary drive selector. Jetour dealers also confirmed the inclusion of vacuum doors, a feature rarely seen in this segment.

Pricing details are still under wraps, but with confirmation now official, all eyes are on whether it can challenge the seemingly popular GWM Tank 300.
