Disney+ has begun streaming FX’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette,” a nine-episode limited series that premiered Feb. 13 with its first three episodes. New episodes are released weekly at 10 a.m.

The series marks the first installment in Ryan Murphy’s “Love Story” anthology and is inspired by Elizabeth Beller’s book “Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.” It dramatizes the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, whose courtship and marriage drew sustained media attention in the 1990s.

Paul Anthony Kelly portrays Kennedy, while Sarah Pidgeon plays Bessette. The cast also includes Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein, Leila George as Kelly Klein, Sydney Lemmon as Lauren Bessette and Constance Zimmer as Ann Marie Messina.

According to the series description, Kennedy was widely followed by the American public from childhood through adulthood, while Bessette built a career in fashion, rising from sales assistant to executive at Calvin Klein and becoming a confidante of the brand’s founder.

The show traces their relationship against the backdrop of intense public scrutiny and media coverage, exploring how fame affected their private lives.
