FAMOUS Singaporean comic Kumar has asked controversy-engulfed comedian Jocelyn Chia to seek help.
In a recent video posted on Kumar’s Instagram, he also apologised to Malaysia for Chia’s recent insensitive jokes about MH370.
“People should not use stand-up comedy as a tool to vent out anger or hatred, please learn from this,” he said in the video.
“For Singaporeans, we need Malaysia for fun, food, leisure, and for some of us – work.

The Singapore-born Chia recently faced backlash for a joke about the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
A video clip of her distasteful stand-up act, which she posted on one of her social media accounts, went viral, but TikTok removed the video, citing a violation of their hate speech guidelines.
Chia has also been confirmed to be no longer Singaporean after a revelation by Singaporean High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon following the viral video.
“I am appalled by the gratuitously offensive comments made by stand-up performer Jocelyn Chia,” he said in a recent statement.
“The Singapore government does not condone words or actions that cause harm or hurt to others, and Chia, who is no longer Singaporean, does not in any way reflect our views,” he added, apologising to Malaysians.
