- Dace is currently recovering in hospital, with his father providing an encouraging update that despite being unconscious and having some fluid on his lungs, scans of his head showed no issues and he has no major breaks.
- His father, Luke Dace, acknowledged the family's initial terror upon witnessing the live incident but recognised the inherent risks associated with the sport.
- Fortunately, jockey Ashley Lewis walked away from the fall unharmed, and the horse Gretna Dreams also escaped injury, according to its trainer Stuart Williams.
