Joe Rogan appears to have weighed in on the ongoing feud between Jon Jones and the UFC.

Jones, a former two-division champion, is upset about being left out of the UFC White House event.

The UFC star claims he was offered no more than $15 million to face Alex Pereira on June 14th, a figure he found unacceptable.

Joe Rogan has weighed in on the latest split between Jon Jones and the UFC, discussing it during a conversation with Brendan Schaub on the UFC London Fight Companion podcast.

“It was a money thing,” Rogan said. “Jon was saying they wouldn’t budge over $15 million.”

Schaub, however, pointed out that Jones had previously turned down a $30 million offer to face Tom Aspinall and suggested that some of the responsibility falls on him.

“They offered him $30 million against Aspinall, and he never made it happen. And then $15 million for the White House card. You’re saying this is the number one fight you wanna do. Could the UFC pay him more? Probably, but $15 million!”

Rogan countered by emphasising what a matchup between Jones and Alex Pereira would represent.

“This is for an interim title,” he said. If he was going to get $30 million to fight Aspinall, half of that is kind of crazy. He’s the greatest of all time, and he’s gonna make the White House card.

“If he makes the White House card, you’re like, ‘Oh s—! Jon Jones is back.’ The whole card completely changes.”

Joe Rogan believes Jon Jones would’ve made the UFC White House card bigger

Joe Rogan has weighed in on the growing rift between Jon Jones and the UFC.

The UFC commentator discussed the situation with Brendan Schaub during a recent Fight Companion podcast.

“It was a money thing,” Rogan said. “Jon was saying they wouldn’t budge over $15 million.”

Schaub pointed out that Jones had previously turned down $30 million to fight Tom Aspinall, suggesting that Jon shares some of the blame.

“The UFC hasn’t been closing the big fights, but Jon has to take some accountability,” Schaub said. “They offered him $30 million against Aspinall, and he never made it happen. And then $15 million for the White House card. You’re saying this is the number one fight you wanna do. Could the UFC pay him more? Probably, but $15 million!”

Rogan backed up Jones by highlighting what’s at stake if he faces Alex Pereira next.

“This is for an interim title,” Rogan noted. If he was going to get $30 million to fight Aspinall, half of that is kind of crazy. He’s the greatest of all time, and he’s gonna make the White House card.”
