- The alleged incident occurred on 8 March at Fairway, Huyton, near Huyton and Prescot Golf Club.
- His co-defendant, Gary O’Grady, 50, did not enter a plea to the charge.
- A trial date has been set for 1 September, with the case expected to last seven days, and Barton has been remanded in custody.
