- John Oliver disclosed on the latest episode of Last Week Tonight that A24's new documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, titled You Can See Everything, has severely derailed his production team's workflow.
- “If you want to talk about that movie, please contact anyone who works here,” Oliver joked, adding, “it’s derailed our workflow to an unacceptable degree.”
- Oliver brought up the documentary while mocking a Republican Senate candidate's evasive interview answer, comparing the politician's performance to the shameless question-dodging demonstrated by Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans.
- Produced by Nathan Fielder and directed by Lance Oppenheim, the secretively shot film follows Holmes and her family during the final weeks before she began serving an 11-year prison sentence for fraud in May 2023.
- The documentary has achieved immense commercial and critical acclaim, securing a rare perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes and breaking box office records with a $15 million North American opening weekend.
- High-profile figures including Borat creator Sacha Baron Cohen have lauded the project, praising Fielder for reinventing the satirical mockumentary genre through unique storytelling methods.
