SEPANG - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was granted an audience with the King of Jordan, King Abdullah II, at the Bunga Raya Complex (BRC), Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
The audience was part of the Jordanian monarch's two-day state visit to Malaysia, which began yesterday at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.
Anwar arrived at BRC at 12.50pm, accompanied by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.

King Abdullah II's visit marks his second State Visit to Malaysia since May 2008 and comes as both nations commemorate more than six decades of diplomatic relations established in 1965.
Education remains a cornerstone of bilateral relations, with more than 1,490 Jordanian students currently pursuing their studies at Malaysian higher education institutions.
Both nations continue to actively promote educational exchanges, academic collaboration and expertise sharing, alongside expanding cooperation in scientific research.
On the economic front, bilateral trade between Malaysia and Jordan reached RM993.4 million in 2025, an increase of 15.2 per cent from 2024. Trade continued its positive momentum from January to August 2026, growing by eight per cent to RM740.7 million compared with the corresponding period last year.
