Jordan Spieth has not won on the PGA Tour since April 2022.
And after one thing Spieth said during the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, fans are left asking: is it any wonder why?
The 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas, has undoubtedly been working incredibly hard on his golf game, especially during the off-season just gone.
However, Jordan Spieth is still yet to record a top-10 finish on the PGA Tour in 2022.

Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler has produced the worst golf he has played over the past three years but has still won once, recorded three runner-up finishes and seven top-5s in just 11 events.
Scheffler and Spieth play golf together regularly away from tournament weeks, and they have been friends for well over a decade.
Now it’s time for the 32-year-old to watch the world number one really closely and learn from something very specific that he does before tournaments.
Jordan Spieth’s admission proves why Scottie Scheffler is so far ahead of him
Spieth and Scheffler both played at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson last week.
While the world number one recorded a 3rd place finish, Spieth ended up in a tie for 19th.
The three-time major champion spoke to reporters last week after shooting a second-round 62 in McKinney, Texas.
Spieth made a frank admission that he didn’t prepare to play the golf course at TPC Craig Ranch how he should have.
“I played the front nine on the Pro-Am, and I looked at a couple greens on the back nine. Frankly, it showed yesterday,“ Spieth admitted.
“I was actually pretty upset last night that I didn’t do more on Monday and Tuesday. I didn’t come out here at all, fourth week in a row and 13th week out of 16. But with a new golf course, if you’re going to play the tournament, you’ve got to be prepared.

“I legitimately felt like I lost a couple shots yesterday on the back nine because I didn’t come out here and see it. That was eating at me a little bit last night. I was like why would you play if you’re not going to prepare the right way?“
The admission Spieth made there regarding a complete lack of preparation was actually quite jarring to hear, and it was something that Scheffler simply would not have done.
The way that the 20-time PGA Tour winner looks at things is that if he doesn’t have the time to put in the required preparation to win a golf tournament, then why bother at all?
Scottie Scheffler not only has the best game, but the best mind too
Scheffler is the best in the world in so many different aspects of the game.
His iron play and driving of the golf ball has been better and more consistent than any other player over the past three years.
Meanwhile, his putting has improved to a standard whereby he’s now actually viewed as a good putter.
So it feels almost unfair that he has all of those qualities and has not only the best mentality in the game, but one of the strongest work ethics too.
Nobody prepares for a golf tournament more than Scheffler.
He is well known for having one of the strongest minds in the game, and his exhaustive preparation leading into tournaments is one of the reasons why he doesn’t make many mistakes.
The 29-year-old knows the places on the golf course where he absolutely can not miss. You know what they say, fail to prepare and prepare to fail.
Unfortunately for Jordan Spieth, he failed to prepare adequately at TPC Craig Ranch last week and he was duly punished as a result.
He may well have been better off not playing at all last week, after his admission regarding a complete lack of preparation.
