- England midfielder Jude Bellingham has revealed his ambition to become the next James Bond.
- The 23-year-old Real Madrid star, currently a standout performer at the World Cup, shared his aspirations with James Corden on Fox’s World Cup After Hours show.
- Bellingham, a self-confessed cinephile, said: “I’d love to be in the back of a James Bond film. (Maybe) James Bond himself, but you’ve got to crawl before you can walk. They haven’t (found a new Bond) yet, have they?"
- Corden then put the footballer’s acting skills to the test, prompting him to deliver the line: "The name’s Bond, James Bond”.
- Meanwhile, former Bond casting director Debbie McWilliams has expressed a preference for "somebody who is completely out of the blue" for the role.
