Judge blasts Amy Winehouse’s father for ‘unfounded allegations’ against late singer’s friends

  • Mitch Winehouse has lost a High Court battle against two friends of his late daughter, Amy Winehouse, over the auction of her personal belongings.
  • He had sued Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they dishonestly profited over £1 million from selling items such as clothes and jewellery.
  • The judge, Ms Justice Clarke, ruled that Mr Winehouse had known about the intended auctions all along and pursued the claim for financial reasons.
  • Mr Winehouse has been ordered to pay nearly £1 million in interim payments to Ms Parry and Ms Gourlay for their legal costs, in addition to his own substantial legal fees.
