Julen Lopetegui said farewell to Sevilla fans today at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium.
Lopetegui was sacked last night after their Champions League thrashing by Borussia Dortmund.
He was given an official farewell this morning and addressing fans, he said: "We have given a part of our life here, which has left us physical traces and also in our hearts, which will be indelible. Beautiful and also complicated memories, which we have been able to overcome.
"I am very grateful to Monchi for coming to find me in Madrid and convincing me in that meal that, by the way, I paid for. My thanks to all the club members who got me here. I have the respect of my players and my fans. What more can one ask for? I don't get any other feeling than to thank you.
“I don't have any feelings of rancor, only gratitude. I see the positive part of three and a half historical years and with that I stay. I am a football man, I understand many things and I try to adapt my response to what is my responsibility."
