Nico Pareja is returning to Sevilla.
The former Argentina defender, who captained Sevilla for the 2016/17 season, will be named assistant coach to Jorge Sampaoli at Sevilla.
Sampaoli is replacing Julen Lopetegui after he was sacked last night after their Champions League thrashing by Borussia Dortmund.
Pareja was at Sevilla during Sampaoli's first spell in charge.
Sampaoli was expected to take training today, though his appointment is yet to be confirmed.
