
Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Vice President Datuk Junz Wong, who is also Tanjung Aru Assemblyman, said the party’s Kota Kinabalu Division remained intact with a blend of fresh faces and seasoned leaders despite the departure of its former exco members aligned to him.
“We have a promising pro-tem line up which will be proposed in the coming Division emergency general meeting (EGM), in line with the party’s constitution and Registrar of Society (ROS) procedure,” he said.
Responding to rumours of his departure, Junz said he would remain loyal to the party.
“No, I am not leaving and I have conveyed my position to party president and constituents,” he said.

A significant number of the Warisan Kota Kinabalu Division Committee decided to leave the party in favour of Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The group called on Hajiji in Sri Gaya led by Petagas Assemblyman cum Tanjung Aru Gagasan Rakyat Division Chief Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah and Tanjung Aru Gagasan Rakyat Division Secretary Judy Hiew.
Meanwhile, Wong said the proposed new interim line-up for the division includes Dr Chong Eng Leong as Senior Advisor, Chin Teck Ming (Legal Advisor), Wong (Division Chief), Melanie Chia (Deputy Division Chief), Terence Au Soon Fui (Vice Division Chief), Kok Liang Loi (Secretary), Chin Ling Ling (Treasurer), Stanley Chong (Wira Chief), Khairul Nezm Ismaily (Wira Deputy Chief), Vivian Thien (Wirawati Chief), Chan Ket Ping (Wirawati Deputy Chief), Chia Miu Lee (Wanita Chief), Soraya S (Deputy Wanita Chief) and Samuel Wong (Information Chief).
On whether he will make a return to his former constituency, Likas or any seats under the Kota Kinabalu Division in the coming state election, Wong said he will leave it to the party’s leadership.
