Justin and Emily Baldoni have broken their silence on what they described as a “traumatic” two-year lawsuit against Blake Lively.
The It Ends With Us co-stars settled their dispute earlier this year ahead of a planned trial over Lively’s claims that Baldoni harassed her and co-ordinated a campaign to attack her reputation, after she privately accused him of sexually harassing her on set.
Baldoni, who denied Lively’s allegations, sued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for defamation and extortion, but his case was later dismissed.
“Gratitude has saved us,” Justin and Emily said in an Instagram video posted on Thursday (9 July).
“It doesn't negate the injustice and the pain that we have also felt in the last few years. We've had to wrestle with so many things and try to understand so many things, like how could something like this even happen?”
“Let alone disguised as a fight for women. So much to unpack.”
