Deputy Commissioner Aparajita conducted a surprise inspection of various offices located at the Mini-Secretariat recently, reviewing staff attendance, cleanliness, maintenance of records and the quality of services being provided to citizens.
The DC inspected the offices of treasury, tehsil and several branches linked to her office. She instructed the officials to ensure that the citizens visiting government offices received prompt assistance and that their grievances were resolved within stipulated timelines and on a priority basis.
Emphasising citizen-friendly governance, Aparajita directed the officials and employees to treat visitors courteously and provide complete information regarding government schemes and services. She stressed that the citizens should not be forced to make repeated visits for the same issue and warned that negligence in duty or delays in service delivery would not be tolerated.
“The responsibility of every department is to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries. Transparency, accountability and efficiency must remain at the core of administrative functioning,” she said. Later, while reviewing complaints received through the district’s Samadhan Shivirs at the Mini-Secretariat auditorium, she directed the officials to take all grievances seriously and ensure their timely disposal. She reviewed pending complaints department-wise and instructed officers to provide effective solutions without unnecessary delays.
