Kajang Man Punches & Breaks Nose of Unlicensed 17yo Driver After Misunderstanding, Gets Arrested by PDRM

A Malaysian man allegedly punched and broke the nose of a teenage driver in Kajang, causing the latter to bleed.

In a viral Facebook post by Yusof Sop, the man allegedly punched the student repeatedly in his nose due to a misunderstanding at the intersection of a road in Saujana Impian in Kajang. The matter happened yesterday (March 14) after Friday prayer.

According to the post, no accidents took place, but the social media user wanted to spread awareness about the matter.

“This violence should not be tolerated.”

Suspect arrested by PDRM

The injured student lodged a police report on the same night, and around 9:50 pm, PDRM managed to arrest the suspect, who is 39 years old. He is now being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code, and if found guilty, he could face a seven-year prison sentence.

The matter is also being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code for reckless driving that causes harm to others, and if found guilty, one can be jailed for up to six months or fined not more than RM2,000.

As for the 17-year-old student, PDRM also confirmed that he is unlicensed and has been fined by the police. The teenager also sought treatment at the Kajang Hospital, and the doctor confirmed that he suffered from a nasal bridge fracture, as revealed via an official statement by PDRM.
