MANILA, Philippines — The prosecution team at the House of Representatives has announced the 10 private prosecutors that would join them in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
In a press briefing on Thursday, Lead Prosecutor and Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro announced the inclusion of lawyers Lorna Kapunan, Amando Ligutan, Marforth Pua, Erwin Matib, Justine Lamarca, James Bryan Alih, Sonya Margarita Castillo, Deana Melissa Singian, Lino Chris Kapunan and Bettina Zamora.
Luistro said that the services of the private prosecutors were pro-bono or voluntary, and that many lawyers are also approaching them to volunteer with the prosecution of Duterte.
They will be up against Duterte's defense team from the law firm Fortun, Narvasa, and Salazar.
