- Katie Zacharia was dismissed from her role as White House press secretary after just five days following a disastrous debut press briefing and a public suggestion from President Donald Trump that she reconsider her position.
- Her five-day tenure makes her stint in office even shorter than Anthony Scaramucci's 11-day tenure as communications director during Donald Trump's first term in the White House.
- Speaking on the Human Events Daily podcast, Zacharia acknowledged that a parody on Saturday Night Live is likely, suggesting Scarlett Johansson could portray her, though she stated she will not be watching the sketch show.
- Despite finding out about her dismissal midway through an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Zacharia later posted a tribute to Donald Trump on X, calling him a kind and gracious man and stating it was an honour to serve him.
- Saturday Night Live will return with a new episode on 31 October following a scheduled break, featuring Obsession star Inde Navarette as host alongside musical guest Gracie Abrams.
