SHAH ALAM, Aug 19 - Train services on the Kelana Jaya Line are gradually returning to normal after repair works to address a power supply disruption at Putra Heights Station were completed today.
Rapid KL said train waiting times may remain slightly longer as service frequency is being adjusted.
“The repair work to address the power supply disruption at Putra Heights Station has been completed.
“Train waiting times will be slightly longer while frequency is being adjusted,” Rapid KL said in a Facebook post.
Earlier, the New Straits Times reported long queues and large crowds at several Kelana Jaya Line stations following a suspected failure involving a power supply component at Putra Heights Station.
As a safety measure, trains were operated manually at Putra Heights, while train movements at other stations were also expected to be slower.
Rapid KL had deployed its technical team to the station to conduct checks and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
Auxiliary police officers and station personnel were also stationed at concourse and platform areas to assist passengers and manage crowd movement, while periodic announcements on train services were made at stations.
