The unusual scene during the university orientation has since gone viral and sparked debate.
Students caught napping
In a video posted on TikTok, several students were caught on camera dozing off during an orientation session at Politeknik Kota Bharu in Kelantan.
“Get your popcorn ready, everyone” the OP wrote in the caption.
Instead of quietly waking them, the university decided to display a video of the sleeping students on the projector screen in the hall.
Several of the other (awake) students seemed to get a kick out of their friends being roasted unawares on the big screen.

Many online viewers found it funny and harmless, laughing at the students’ fate.
‘Everyone got caught .’

Another commented humorously that they would likely fall sleep in class too.
A netizen reminisced about their own orientation days, saying that as new students they would hardly get any sleep.
‘The orientation sessions back then were fun. We really didn’t sleep.’
Lesson learnt: don’t fall asleep during orientation!
