Kota Kinabalu: Hang Loong Taekwondo Club’s exponent Kelvin Chaw Kay Vun has made the club and his school SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin (DPM), Penampang proud by winning the outstanding student award from the State Education Department in a ceremony held at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) on November 22.
Apart from his achievements as a taekwondo athlete by winning the bronze medal in the individual and team poomsae events at the 14th International Open Classic CK Taekwondo Championship 2022 in Kuala Lumpur as well as several successes in other local competitions, he also excelled in the field of design innovation with a bronze medal at the International Digital Innovation and Invention Challenge 2022 competition and a silver medal at the Malaysian International Young Scientist Conference and Exhibition 2021.
