Khairil Nizam: Matty Healy's crude actions not his first time

Pas Head of Information Ir Khairil Nizam Khirudin said Matty Healy's recent "indecent behaviour" during his concert in Kuala Lumpur was not the first of its kind.

A similar incident was reported in 2019 in Dubai, where the singer kissed a male fan.

In 2022, Khairil Nizam said another similar incident happened at one of the group's concerts on the North American Tour.

"Not just kissing, the singer, Matty Healy, also spread his liberal ideology and criticised Malaysian law.

"This proves why we need to be careful in bringing foreign artists to perform in this country, especially those with LGBTQ ideology and practice," he said in his Facebook post on Sunday.

He added that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) remains firm on the principles of religion, race and nation and would never compromise on such issues.

"We hope all Malaysians are together with PN to defend it," he added.
