Malaysia is set to witness a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of youth and sports as the Kidslympic Games Malaysia 2025 and the Kidslympic Malaysia Run Grand Finale Merdeka 118 Precinct combine to light up Merdeka 118, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday, 12 October 2025, in conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara.
Carrying the theme “From Playground to Podium”, this movement is more than a sports event — it is a national call to action for children, parents, schools, and communities to embrace health, unity, and the true spirit of Malaysian sports.
Having toured Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, and Selangor, the Kidslympic Malaysia Run has already attracted thousands of children and families.
Now, the Grand Finale at Merdeka 118 will bring over 4,000 runners together at Malaysia’s tallest and most iconic tower — marking a historic chapter for youth sports at the city’s spectacular landmark.
Runners will be cheered on by parents, teachers, and supporters as they take part in categories ranging from Under 7 and Under 12 categories, ensuring that everyone — from ages 4 to 12, and even parents — gets to be part of the action.
Beyond the Run, young athletes will compete in the Kidslympic Games Malaysia — a multi-sport showcase including Kids Athletics, football, 3×3 Basketball, Volleyball, gymnastics, and Obstacle Race.
This platform gives children the chance to shine, building confidence and inspiring dreams of one day representing Malaysia on the world stage.
