Bangkok netizen doom-scrolling took a brief moment to pause tonight, as megastar (with many talents) Kim Kardashian gave a special shoutout to Thai beauty in her latest Instagram post. Praising Dr Joe and The Demis Clinic in particular, here’s everything we know about the business woman’s recent foray into Thai beauty treatments.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and Skims founder is known to embrace beauty treatments from across the globe, and her nod to a Thai beauty clinic highlights the growing international buzz around our local aesthetics scene.
While it is unclear whether this is an explicit endorsement, Kim’s recent post shows her in The Demis bathrobe, posing together with Dr Dissapong Panithaporn, also known as Dr Joe. Her caption explains that she is “OBSESSED” with treatments from all over the world. She then thanks Dr Joe and The Demis Clinic, and continues, “I love your work #ThaiBeauty.”
Of course, Dr Joe is no stranger to the big stars. His clients include Jackson Wang, Kimmy Kimberley, Anne Thong, and quite recently, Business of Fashion’s Imran Amed, amongst others. His Demis Clinic is known for using both fine laser and non-invasive therapies, and praised for offering honest advice, tailored to individual skin types.
This combination of advanced skin science and personalisation, is really putting Thai beauty and aesthetic clinics on the map. Knowingly or unknowingly, Kim may have added a big new boost to this growing soft power.
