The King “drowned a few sorrows” with a pint of beer following England’s World Cup defeat against Argentina.
England conceded two heartbreaking late goals from Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez in their World Cup semi-final on Wednesday (15 July), resulting in a 2-1 loss for the Three Lions.
During a visit to Hall and Woodhouse Badger Brewery bar in Dorset on Thursday (16 July), Charles, accompanied by wife Queen Camilla, pulled a pint as they celebrated the business’ 250th anniversary.
As he took a sip, he joked that it was a “good day to drown a few sorrows”, in reference to England’s heartbreaking tournament exit.
