Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim personally donates 100 cows for the Qurban ritual, with meat to be distributed to staff and asnaf groups

KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has consented to personally donate 100 cows for the voluntary sacrificial ritual (Qurban ritual) in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidiladha.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, His Majesty also made the niyyah (intention) for the ritual, which was led by Istana Negara Religious Officer, Datuk Munir Md Salleh, at Istana Negara today.

Sultan Ibrahim has also consented to delegate authority to the Istana Negara Qurban Secretariat to carry out the sacrifice on His Majesty’s behalf.

The King also ordered the Qurban meat be distributed to Istana Negara staff, as well as those in the asnaf and B40 groups.

Meanwhile, Munir prayed that the Qurban ritual would be accepted by Allah SWT, and that the King and the Johor Royal family would be blessed, forgiven, and granted ease in all matters in this world and the hereafter.
