The festival will also shine a spotlight on creativity and entrepreneurship through the KL Mocha Competition 2026, where baristas, mixologists and beverage creators will present their own interpretations of the classic mocha, blending technical skills with storytelling and innovation.

Meanwhile, the Saudagar CIMB Programme will bring together entrepreneurs and industry players to discuss business growth, creativity and the evolving landscape of artisanal industries.

Festival director Karen Khoo said KL Mocha Fest was envisioned as a space where people can gather around a shared appreciation for quality, craftsmanship and meaningful experiences.

"As our inaugural edition, we are deeply grateful for the trust and support of our partners and collaborators. Their credibility allows us to build something meaningful from the very beginning.

"Our hope is that this festival will grow year after year into a defining platform for specialty coffee and specialty chocolate culture in the region," she said.

Behind the festival is a team with deep roots in Malaysia's coffee scene, having previously curated influential platforms such as Coffee & Art Fringe Festival Asia and Craft Coffee Fest.

Building on that experience, KL Mocha Fest aims to become more than an annual event. It aspires to be a cultural gathering that champions local artisans, supports entrepreneurs and nurtures appreciation for products made with passion and purpose.

Adding an extra dose of excitement is the KL Mocha Fest Explorace on July 5, where participants can sign up in teams of two and race through coffee and chocolate-themed challenges for cash prizes and exclusive goodies.

As an official media partner, Sinar Daily joins KL Mocha Fest 2026 in celebrating Malaysia's growing specialty coffee and artisan chocolate scene, helping bring the festival's stories, makers and experiences to a wider audience.
