Kanya Maha Vidyalaya baseball players, Anubeer Kaur and Kaldeep Kaur, have brought laurels to the institution by delivering outstanding performances at both the national and state-level baseball championships.
The dynamic duo represented their region with grit and tactical acumen at the Federation Cup Baseball Championship held in Amravati, Maharashtra. Competing against some of the finest athletic talent from across the nation, Anubeer and Kaldeep displayed teamwork and sportsmanship, ultimately steering their team through high-stake matches to secure a silver medal.
Earlier, the athletes had extended their dominance to the Baseball Senior State Championship held in Ludhiana, where they had fought through a highly competitive state field to claim the bronze medal.
Director Prof (Dr) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Anubeer Kaur and Kaldeep Kaur on their double-medal achievement, highlighting that their success is a testament to both the athletes’ dedication and deep-rooted sports culture. She emphasised that the college remains committed to empowering young women to shatter glass ceilings in sports alongside their academics by offering an unmatched, fully free support ecosystem.
“This comprehensive institutional backing includes full tuition waivers, complimentary premium hostel accommodations, state-of-the-art training grounds and specialised health facilities to ensure zero financial barriers for budding athletes", said Prof Dwivedi while also lauding the dedicated efforts of the coaching staff and the Department of Physical Education for nurturing, mentoring and polishing national-level sportspersons who make the institution and the state proud.
