SEREMBAN: A woman was found dead after allegedly being stabbed by her husband at a Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) quarters unit last night, in a case believed to have stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police received a report about the incident at about 9.30 pm after a man surrendered at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi Police Station in Sepang, Selangor, and reported his wife’s death at their residence.

Acting on the information, a police team was dispatched to the scene, where they found a woman in her 30s unconscious.
He said initial investigations by the Negeri Sembilan police D10 Forensic Division found that the victim had sustained injuries suspected to have been caused by stabbing. A knife and several other pieces of evidence were also seized to assist in the investigation.
“The deceased was a customs officer who had been transferred to the Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS), effective July 1,” he said in a statement today.
He said a medical team from the Nilai Health Clinic examined the victim at the scene and confirmed her death. Police have arrested her husband, who is also in his 30s, to assist in the investigation.
Alzafny said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and that the suspect had been remanded for seven days until Oct 22.
He also advised the public against making speculative statements that could interfere with police investigations.
