Kota Kinabalu: Sabah is playing host to SBS Golf Korean Ladies Professional Golfer Association (KLPGA) at the Dalit Bay Golf and Country Club here.
The event has a large following in South Korea over the winter months held here in sunny Sabah participated by top international golf players from SBS Golf Korean Ladies Professional Golfer Association (KLPGA), besides others.
Alongside the international rookie players were Sabah’s very own golfer Fadley Nouman Datuk Suria. The event is being filmed at Dalit Bay Golf and Country Club for the Korean market.
It is called the getaway for the best newcomers on the Korean women’s golf tour that has produced many KLPGA first-division winners.
The tenth tournament this year is a popular programme in Korea with a high viewer rating.
The ongoing Korean golf tournament at the Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort’s Dalit Bay Golf & Country club may not attract much publicity in the local media, but the Sabah Tourism Board is determined to market Sabah’s golf tourism among East Asians, besides others.
