LABUAN: The success of the three former SMK Taun Gusi Kota Belud students in the court battle against the might of the Education Ministry is a victory for all students, says activist Patrick Sindu.
He said it should also serve as an eye-opener on the need for effective supervision of schools, especially in remote areas.
Congratulating the three “heroic” students, Patrick said the case was unprecedented and the fact that it came from Sabah made it more interesting.
“The students deserve a salute for going ahead with their complaint despite facing daunting challenges. If not for the trio, the teacher truancy would not have been reported.
