
SHAH ALAM: Three workers were injured, one of them critically, when nitrogen gas exploded in an incident at a factory in Kota Kemuning here today.
Selangor fire and rescue department assistant director (operations and firefighting) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said he received a call about the incident at 10.14am.
He said 12 firemen from the Shah Alam fire and rescue station and three fire engines rushed to the scene.
“The nitrogen gas explosion occurred as the factory workers were conducting a pressure test.

Read more “The victims of the explosion were two men, who were rendered partially conscious, and another man who was critically injured,” he said in a statement here.
Mukhlis said a special team was also rushed to the scene to rule out any danger in terms of chemicals at the explosion location.
He said an investigation found that the explosion did no damage to the structure of the building.
