
PAPAR: A 64-year-old mother died on the spot while two were seriously injured following a collision between two vehicles along KM17, Jalan Papar Baru – Kota Kinabalu (Jalan Pan Borneo), here, Monday.
District Police Chief DSP Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the incident occurred at about 2.40pm when a Toyota Hilux driven by 36-year-old man heading towards Kota Kinabalu from Papar went out of control during a downpour before entering the opposite lane.
The pickup then crashed into a Hyundai, driven by a 43-year-old woman who was the deceased’s daughter, that was heading towards Papar.
