Kota Kinabalu: KOTA Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) extended its Press Night invitation to the association’s advisor, Datuk Peter Chin.
The invitation was extended by KKJA Chairman Jimmy Goh during a courtesy call on Peter recently.
Peter is the chairman of Royal Sabah Turf Club and has always been enthusiastic about giving back to the community.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, he gave financial assistance to the community to lessen their burden.
It is understood the Royal Sabah Turf Club (RSTC) will also soon develop a commercial centre in Tanjung Aru which will help drive the local economic development.
Peter said the club would hold perimeter races in Tawau, Lahad Datu, Lahad Datu, Keningau and Sandakan from next month, as well as have live broadcast races, including races in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tambalang in Tuaran.
Those interested in horse racing can go to the four locations.
Meanwhile, Jimmy thanked Peter for his support to the association throughout the years.
Also present were KKJA Secretary Teo Jinn Jiun, Treasurer Yvonne Ho, Liaison Officer Chu Ping Tyng and Committee Member Lo Teck Loong.
