Kota Kinabalu: Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) under the leadership of its Chairman Jimmy Goh will continue to collaborate with the Chinese Consul-General in Kota Kinabalu.

While thanking the Chinese Consul-General in Kota Kinabalu, Huang Shifang, for her strong support and assistance rendered to KKJA, Jimmy also extended the association’s Press Night invitation to her.

The invitation was extended during KKJA’s courtesy call on the newly-appointed Huang who arrived in Kota Kinabalu on May 30 this year.

The visit also saw Jimmy and Huang exchanging views on the recently concluded China-Sabah Short Film Competition, a joint collaboration between KKJA and the Chinese Consul-General in Kota Kinabalu.

Huang was deeply impressed by the China-Sabah Short Film Competition entries and hoped the next competition will attract more participation and further strengthen ties between China and Sabah.

She also expressed appreciation to the active role played by KKJA in promoting friendly exchanges between China and Malaysia, including mutual understanding between China and Sabah, while safeguarding the rights and interest of members of the media.

Also present were KKJA Deputy Chairperson Nancy Lai, Vice Chairman Peter Kwan, Secretary Teo Jinn Jiun, Treasurer Yvonne Ho, Liaison Officer Chu Pying Ting, and Committee members Lo Teck Loong and Yap Siong Han.
